Shellac treatment review:
Whenever we launch a new treatment in the Spa, I'm in the very fortunate position to be able to sample it…purely for quality control of course, so I was very excited to have our latest addition to the treatment menu 'Shellac'.
In a nutshell Shellac is a manicure treatment where the polish can last as long as 2 weeks without chipping or smudging.
Nail expert Chloe began by removing all trace of cuticle from my nails and expertly shaped my nails into a pleasing almond shape before applying Hot Pop Pink to my nails, applying lots of pink glitter (well it was the party season) and sealing with a top coat for a mirror like shine.
Amazingly as soon as they were finished they were completely dry! Chloe assured me I wouldn't smudge them whether I dug around in my bag, got changed or even went for a swim.
2 weeks later, festive season over for another year it was time to remove my pink sparkly nails and opt for a more sober nude shade (cocoa). There are two options for removal- for £15 I could have had them removed by Chloe or any of the nail experts here at Rockliffe Hall, or I could purchase a 'Remove Tube' for £7.50 from The Spa Boutique and do it myself. I opted for the Remove Tube, a kit containing all I needed to remove the Shellac myself. Chloe had explained what to do so within 10 minutes I was back to natural nails with no damage at all, and if anything my nails were longer than I have ever managed to grow them without the protection of the Shellac.
