Well that's me in a nutshell above - over the coming months you will be introduced to the various members of the Resort team who will enlighten you as to what is happening in their areas - along with this, I hope to be able to update on new and exciting ventures and projects being considered.
We have had a lot of success recently, and the whole team here at Rockliffe Hall are very pleased and proud of our achievements.
Taste Durham Award
The Brasserie by Atkinson has recently won a TasteDurham Award for Highest Quality Assured and Local Produce Champion Award 2012. This is a fantastic addition to our awards, and we are very happy that so soon after it's re-vamp, The Brasserie, formerly the Waterhouse Bistro has achieved such a high acclaim…it is definitely worth a visit, whether you are lunching during your luxurious spa day, dining on an evening or popping in for a bite to eat! The Brasserie, alongside our 3AA Rosette Kenny Atkinson at The Orangery restaurant and The Clubhouse provide our guests with three fantastic dining experiences here at Rockliffe Hall.

There's been a real buzz amongst the team since being ranked 2nd Top Luxury Hotel in the Top 25 hotels in the UK, flanked either side by The Dorchester and Claridges (nice company to be in!) - it's fantastic to be recognised so soon as a leading luxury destination. This was made all the sweeter when also being ranked 5th Top Luxury Hotel in Europe and 9th Top Luxury Hotel in the World - no wonder the team are so ecstatic.
Being rated by our guests for the Trip Advisor Top Luxury awards, we are always aiming to provide our guests with the highest possible luxury experience at Rockliffe Hall..through spa and dining experiences, overnight visits, golf , and of course our exciting events too!
There are always many great events taking place at Rockliffe Hall, and with Spring on it's way, the only way to step into Spring is with Rockliffe Hall!
Mothers Day
On Sunday 18th March, you can treat your mum and show her how much you care at Rockliffe Hall! We will be serving lunch in the Clubhouse as usual as well as larger parties catered for in the Rockliffe Suite. If you don't fancy a lunch, Afternoon Tea served in the Orangery with live pianist accompaniment, is a great option too.
We have also got lots of great golf competitions coming up, and with the weather starting to pick up, everyone at The Clubhouse is looking forward to these great events. With The Clubhouse offering a brilliant menu, you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy the PGA standard golf course at Rockliffe Hall. The renowned Sunday Lunch in The Clubhouse is a must- book early to avoid dissapointment...and if you fancy a bite to eat or coffee with wonderful views to the golf course around, The Clubhouse is the perfect destination for breakfast, lunch, an evening meal or a snack in between.
The Clubhouse also offers a wide range of entertaiment evenings, including 'Friday Night Live' with local gutairist and singer, Val Boyers, and party nights, such as the forthcoming St Patrick's Day party, which are certain to be great events!
In the time between this and my next blog, there will be many more exciting events which will have taken place. These includes the 'Singing is Good for The Soul' choir workshop event, our fantastic Ladies Lunches, Mother's Day, and we also have some great events lined up for Summer, so I will tell you more about those next time!
