"We stayed at the hotel last night, played golf yesterday and this morning, stayed in Tiplady Lodge. "My mother, sister and I have have just returned from a short stay in your lovely hotel.From the time of booking, which was organised by Ben who was so helpful and patient, to our departure the experience was wonderful.The facility of Armstrong House was fantastic especially travelling as a trio. It enabled us to have a lovely living area to socialise but also lots of space, the 2 bathrooms are definitely a plus for 3 women! All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Owen in the Brasserie who was very efficient but good fun. We had a lovely walk on Sunday morning, recommended by the concierge, even the sun shone for us. The spa was fantastic and my mum, who was celebrating her 70th birthday, had a great facial treatment which she waxed lyrical about. Thank you again for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back."

50th Birthday Celebrations
I just want to send a big thanks to all the staff at Rockliffe hall. Myself and 10 friends stayed on 14th April 2012 to celebrate my 50th birthday. We had a fantastic time. The hotel and apartments were stunning. The spa and treatment was excellent. The food and drink were lovely. The staff could not be faulted. So helpful. Yes I know it's 5 star, and expect good service but I have stayed in 5 star before and believe me, Rockliffe beat them hands down!

My husband and I recently stayed overnight with yourselves to celebrate his birthday the weekend of Feb 18. I am sending this email to extend my upmost thanks to all the staff who made our stay wonderful.
The evening meal in the Orangery restaurant was absolutely amazing. (we are still talking about it now). Many thanks for making it a very special occasion for us both.

Myself & my partner stayed with you for Valentines night & I would just like to say what a wonderful time we had. Nothing was too much trouble for any of your staff, we were made to feel very welcome & the 6 course meal we had in The Orangery on Valentine's night was out of this world. The Happy Couple
Wow what an amazing few months we have had! Where has the time gone? We just seemed to get back from honeymoon and suddenly Christmas is upon us.
Our wedding on 24th September seems some time ago now but what a wedding!
Rockliffe Hall is amazing. It truly is a hotel in a class of it's own and deserving of so much more than it's 5 * status. Beautiful surroundings, a fantastic building, first class facilities and the staff, well above all, they are what make the hotel stand out head and shoulders above any other 5 * establishment we have ever stayed in.
Each and every single person we came into contact with during the planning, on the day and during our stay was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. These sentiments were echoed by all of our guests who also had a fantastic time and were so impressed by the hotel.
We are now faced with the enviable problem of finding a hotel to stay at in the future that could possibly match our Rockliffe experience! We know that we could not have chosen anywhere better for our special day which was perfect in every way and exceeded all of our expectations.

It seems unfair to single out anyone for individual attention as I think everyone deserves praise. However, we feel we must say a special thank you to Rachel our wedding coordinator who was so supportive and addressed all of our queries promptly, Bernard our toast master who everyone loved and ensured the day flowed smoothly and also one of the waitresses, Jenny, who was just amazing. She was kind, friendly and made me feel so special. She is a real asset to the hotel.To conclude, we hope the hotel continues to go from strength to strength. The best decision we made was choosing to have our wedding at Rockliffe Hall. Thank you so much to everyone for making our day so perfect.
A Truly Memorable Stay
Usually I only contact hotels when I have had an exceptionally bad experience but in this very unusual situation I am writing to you to recognise the opposite....a truly memorable stay at your hotel this week.
Having lived overseas for over 20 years I have stayed in excellent hotels in many countries around the world but few provided the quality of experience you did. As with everything it is the attention to the smallest details which set apart the really excellent from the good. The quality of the furnishings, the style of the refurbishment of the hall, the condition of the grounds...I could go on.
However, it was the quality and friendliness of the staff which really sets your hotel apart...from the gentleman who greeted me on arrival ..dont worry sir I will look after your car and luggage...to Julie in the Cocktail Bar and Grace the sommelier , the service was impeccable.
To top it off, my wife and I ate in The Orangery and the meal and the service (and the Amarone) were all of the highest standard.
Next time we visit we will make time to visit the spa and play golf!
