£24,000 raised for three charities at An Evening with Marti Pellow at Rockliffe Hall

Marti Pellow performed in a fabulous evening at Rockliffe Hall’s Grand Marquee event...

An Evening with Marti Pellow took place on Friday 15th June at Rockliffe Hall in the Grand Marquee. Guests raised a sensational £24,000 for the Graham Wylie Foundation, Alan Shearer Centre and Global’s Make Some Noise!

Guests were suited, booted and wearing stunning gowns for the special event which included a VIP reception, a three course dinner, a performance by Angie Brown, all before the headline act, Marti Pellow. The former Wet Wet Wet frontman had everyone up dancing to hits including Love Is All Around, Goodnight Girl, Angel Eyes and Sweet Little Mystery.

A silent auction was held with some exclusive prizes on offer including a week in a luxury villa in Mallorca for 12 people (which went for £4,600), Patrick Bamford’s shirt from last season’s win against Leeds where he scored a hat-trick, signed by the team, and a luxury overnight stay at Rockliffe Hall.

There was also a music raffle, which was judged by Kris Kamara who delighted guests with an impromptu performance of The Beatles’ Let It Be.

Eamonn Elliott, Rockliffe Hall’s Chief Executive, said: “Once again, Rockliffe’s Grand Marquee evening, which has now become an annual event, was a huge success. Our guests were so generous and we’re thrilled to have raised £24,000 which will be divided equally between three such worthy causes. Everyone had a fabulous night, the food was exceptional, the music first rate and everyone looked amazing. We look forward to announcing next year’s event later this year.”
