The resort boasts 61 bedrooms, eleven meeting rooms, an award winning spa and championship golf course. The resort sales team includes Business Development Manager Gemma Pott and Sales & Events Executive, Sarah Roberts, who spend their time representing the resort, meeting potential clients, attending exhibitions and networking all around the UK.
Most of the sales team’s time is spent out on the road, travelling the length and breadth of the country. This is to meet potential direct clients, venue sourcing agents and travel management companies who haven’t yet experienced how fabulous the resort is, as well as existing clients, to discuss their next visit.
It is also necessary to attend local networking events, breakfast clubs, conferences and exhibitions, constantly looking for ways to introduce new clients to the resort.
Every day the proactive sales team make it a priority to have a read through industry literature and newspapers’ business pages to see if there are any opportunities to tap into.
The resort also works in close partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Pride of Britain. Linking up with organisations like these helps provide increased coverage to expose the brand of Rockliffe Hall when targeting key clients. As it is an independent hotel, this gives further credibility.
When the sales team spend time on the resort it’s generally to meet a client to show them around, for quarterly client reviews and to entertain. From refreshments to lunches to complete Orangery experiences.
It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it!
There are many exciting things in the pipeline for Rockliffe Hall including the opening of ‘Mischmasch’, the multi-functional parkland development due to launch in Spring 2018.
