From September 2016 to January 2017, £1 from every tea sold at the five-star resort was donated to the Foundation.
Rockliffe Hall Chief Executive Eamonn Elliott presented a cheque to Head of MFC Foundation, Helena Bowman, prior to Middlesbrough’s Premier League fixture with Manchester United on Sunday. He said: "We're delighted to be able to donate such a healthy sum of money to a worthy cause. At Rockliffe we take pride in supporting local charities and I'm sure our afternoon tea guests will also be pleased to know they're doing their bit. This is an initiative we will continue with and I look forward to presenting another cheque to the MFC Foundation in the near future."
Helena Bowman added: “Rockliffe Hall have been incredibly supportive of the Foundation for as long as I can remember, and their donation through sales of their Afternoon Teas is incredibly generous. We’re very proud to be associated with one of the most iconic resorts and spas in the North, and look forward to working with them for the foreseeable future. Rockliffe Hall will continue to pledge £1 from every Afternoon Tea to the Foundation, and we’d like to once again our gratitude for their kind donations."
The funds raised will be used throughout MFC Foundation projects, continuing to raise aspirations and change lives on Teesside.
