Two new appointments from our very own team in the Clubhouse Kitchen & Bar.

We are delighted to announce two new management appointments in the Clubhouse Kitchen & Bar Team.

Dan Johnson, Clubhouse Supervisor has been promoted to the position of Clubhouse Manager and James Carter, Clubhouse Supervisor has been promoted to the position of Deputy Clubhouse Manager.

This ‘dynamic duo’ have been a formidable team and receive many positive comments from guests and fellow team members alike. We look forward to seeing them oversee the running of the Clubhouse as we move towards the next phase of easing restrictions.

Dan Johnson

Starting his career in hospitality as a Kitchen Porter in the Clubhouse Kitchen & Bar, Dan has worked his way up to this recent promotion previously holding roles as Clubhouse Team Member, Clubhouse Team Leader and Clubhouse Supervisor. Dan was promoted to an Assistant Manager role in The Brasserie in February 2020, unfortunately due to Covid 19 The Brasserie closed. Fortunately, during this challenging time, Dan was able to transfer his talents back to the Clubhouse. Dan took on his Clubhouse role with relish and remained positive throughout.

These roles have provided the experience necessary for Dan to take on the day to day running of the Clubhouse as well as different kinds of functions and golf days. Dan’s passion for hospitality has grown as he has worked his way up, he enjoys the interaction with guests and he has developed a fascination for the bar and front of house duties.

Dan Johnson says ‘I have a lot of new innovative ideas for the Clubhouse in the future. I want to ensure a smooth transition to normality from all of these restrictions. I am very optimistic of the future and will continue to seek opportunities of progression’.

James Carter

James Carter began his career in hospitality with a part time bar position whilst at college as well as a team leader position in a local pub where he gained experience in management and back of house operations. James is also a trained Barista.

James has worked in the Clubhouse since 2018 initially as Clubhouse Team Member before progressing to Team Leader, and then to Clubhouse Supervisor in 2020.

James says ‘I am passionate about this industry and I would like to gain experience in all aspects of Hospitality, both Front of House and Back of House. This will allow me to progress to other opportunities when they arise, with my ultimate goal being a Food & Beverage Manager and beyond; the sky’s the limit!’
