An Update on Restaurant Service Times

In light the announcement from the Government all pubs, bars, restaurants and other hospitality venues in England must have a 10pm closing time from Thursday 24th September, to help curb the spread of coronavirus

Venues will also be restricted by law to table service only. With this in mind, we wanted to advise you of the below changes that will be in effect to keep guests safe at Rockliffe Hall:
 
The Clubhouse Kitchen & Bar
• Reservations can be made for drinks and all-day-dining from 8am to 8.30pm
• Tables must be booked in advance through the Rockliffe Hall website or the app and all guests must complete a pre-arrival questionnaire and NHS test and trace details, you will have your temperature taken on arrival and a one-way system is in place to keep guests safe.
• If you have an existing booking in The Clubhouse after 8.30pm, a member of the team will be in touch to rearrange your reservation. Priority is being placed on bookings over the next 10 days.
• Last orders for drinks will now be 9.30pm and we will close the restaurant and bar at 10pm. Please note table service will be in operation for all guests.

Afternoon Tea
• Afternoon Tea will continue to be served daily from 12.30pm to 5pm with social distancing in place.
• Tables must be booked in advance through the Rockliffe Hall website or the app and all guests must complete a pre-arrival questionnaire, NHS test and trace details and you will have your temperature taken on arrival.
• Any guests who would like to reserve a table after 3pm will now be served their Afternoon Tea experience in the setting of the elegant Old Hall lounges, rather than within the Orangery restaurant. Please note that the tables are lower in in the lounges than within the main restaurant.
• This is to ensure the restaurant can be deep cleaned and set for an earlier dinner service to allow us to comply with the new laws.
 
The Orangery 
• We recommend two hours for your dining experience within the flagship 3AA rosette Orangery restaurant to ensure you can enjoy this unique food journey.
• With this in mind the restaurant will now take bookings between 6pm and 8pm daily, and you are invited to join us in the Cocktail Bar before your table reservation to enjoy pre-dinner drinks.
• Tables must be booked in advance through the Rockliffe Hall website or the app and all guests must complete a pre-arrival questionnaire, NHS test and trace details and you will have your temperature taken on arrival.
• If you have an existing booking after 8pm, a member of the team will be in touch to rearrange your reservation. Priority is being placed on bookings over the next 10 days.
• Last orders for drinks will now be 9.30pm and we will stop serving at 10pm. Please note, as always, table service will be in operation for all guests.

Room Service
• We currently offer a full in-room dining and drinks menu all-day, with a reduced ‘midnight warmers’ menu between the hours of 11pm and 6am.
• We will follow the advice of the Government, and professional bodies including UK Hospitality, at all times, and will communicate clearly with our guests if any changes need to be made to this service.
 
Please also note that Rockliffe Hall can only accept bookings of a maximum of 6 guests, and if you are travelling from an area impacted by local lockdown restrictions we can only accept bookings for those from within the same household or support bubble.

By law we ask guests to wear a face covering (unless exempt) on arrival at Rockliffe Hall and within public areas. These can be removed once you are seated at your table.
 
Rockliffe Hall is a Covid-secure business that has been awarded the AA Covid Confident shield, the VisitEngland ‘We’re Good to Go’ kitemark and most recently the global GBAC STAR accreditation for our agile and responsive approach to the ongoing pandemic.
