We are proud to welcome guest chef Paul Leonard from the 4AA Rosette Burlington Restaurant at the Devonshire Arms, Bolton Abbey to Rockliffe Hall’s 4AA Rosette Orangery restaurant for the evening.
This special tasting evening will feature a menu with three signature dishes by Richard Allen, and three signature dishes by Paul Leonard celebrating the seasons, nature and the finest ingredients from the north east and Yorkshire.
Both chefs are passionate about using the very best of ingredients, particularly those which are home grown which adds to the individuality of each dish.
Wine pairing by expert sommeliers will be available on the evening who will help to bring out the exquisite flavours of each dish.
Paul Leonard arrived at the 4AA Rosette Burlington Restaurant in 2017 bringing along a loyal team from the Isle of Eriska Hotel in Scotland. Paul’s focus has been on using fresh, natural and seasonal ingredients and keeping the complexity of dishes to a minimum; allowing the produce to sing. Paul often uses ideas from his colleagues in the dishes; so each dish becomes a Burlington creation. Paul prides himself on using the best of produce, much of which is from The Devonshire Arms’ kitchen garden. Paul's menu showcases the best of Yorkshire produce. Within his first year, Paul and his team achieved 4 AA rosettes, a rare and exemplary mark of recognition in the hospitality world.
In September 2017 Richard was awarded 4AA Rosettes for his culinary excellence in Rockliffe Hall's flagship Orangery restaurant, after holding 3AA Rosettes for 11 years. Richard Allen is one of the UK’s most celebrated chefs and has two of the highest industry accolades to his name- the Cateys’ Head Chef of the Year 2012 and the Craft Guild of Chefs Restaurant Chef of the Year 2012. Richard is also one of the only chefs to have been named as one of Debrett’s People of Today.
