Spirit Schools at the Artisan Food Fair

Partake in one (ore more!) of the Spirit School events taking place at the Artisan Food Fair on 2nd and 3rd February 2019...

The Spirit Schools are taking place in the The Morning Room, in the heart of Rockliffe Hall’s Old Hall and will be led by a team of experts who will guide each tasting. 

 

GIN SCHOOL - 12noon - please note the Saturday Gin School is now fully booked 
Saturday 2nd February & Sunday 3rd February 

A GINspirational journey of gin where guests will learn how to drink the quintessential British spirit. From artisan gins, to flavour profiles and how to pair and garnish your gin, the GINstuctors with help guests become a gin-ius when it comes to knowing all about the spirit.

As part of Gin School on Sunday 3rd February chef Tom Brown will be making a special meet and greet appearance, and participants will be able to have a specially prepared gin-infused oyster amuse bouche, created by Tom, to enjoy along with the gin tastings. This is a one-off event, and is included in the price of a Gin School ticket for 12pm, Sunday 3rd February. 

£25, 5 G&Ts and garnishes included.


WHISKY SCHOOL - 1.45pm 
Saturday 2nd February and Sunday 3rd February 
A guided talk about this complex spirit, plus tastings.

£35, 6 whisky tastings included.


RUM SCHOOL - 3.15pm 
Saturday 2nd February and Sunday 3rd February at 3.15pm

The rise of rum. Is Pirates’ plonk the next craft spirit? Rum School will tell the tale of the rise of this craft spirit – and feature tastings too.

£25, 5 rums included.

Spirit Schools

The Spirit Schools are intimate events taking place in the stunning setting of the Morning Room at Rockliffe Hall. Each session will be led by a team of experts including craft producers.

Please note advanced booking is required with full pre-payment at the time of booking. All Spirit School events are strictly for guests over the age of 18 years of age and a Challenge 25 policy will be in place on the day. Any guests who fail to provide identification on request will be asked to leave the event and forfeit their entry fee. The dress code for this event is relaxed and informal, and as some elements of the Artisan Food Fair are taking place outdoors you may want to bring a warm coat and comfortable shoes.
