Experience a professional tour format when you play in this 18 hole scratch competition – now part of the Durham County Order of Merit.
The Northern Golf Masters tournament challenges the best club golfers from across Teesside, County Durham, North Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and Cumbria to be named the number one amateur golfer in the North of England. The scratch competition is for category one golfers and adopts the format of a professional tour event with first tee announcements, ball spotters and up-to-the-minute live scoring.
This year’s competition will be 18 holes held on Sunday 22nd September 2019. The tournament entry fee is £35 per person and prizes are awarded for first, second and third place. Concessionary rates for practice rounds are available for anyone confirmed as participating as well as accommodation packages for the nights surrounding the competition (subject to availability). Players are welcome to bring a caddy.
Rockliffe Hall’s Estates Director, Davy Cuthbertson, said: “As our NGM is now part of the Durham County Order of Merit, we’re expecting the event to be even more popular. In addition, as it could be the final qualifying tournament of the season, it’s all to play for. The NGM is always a great event and golfers get a real flavour of what it’s like to play in a top competition on a world class course, played by the likes of ex Ryder Cup Captains Sam Torrance, Ian Woosnam and Mark James.”
Good luck to all players!
