Pre Cheltenham Racing Festival Evening

The countdown is on the Cheltenham Racing Festival, so why not enjoy a pre-festival evening with racing tips from Racing UK commentator Niall Hannity, leading racehorse trainer Brian Ellison, television racing presenter Mick Fitzgerald as well as local jockeys Brian Hughes & Sean Quinlan. 

Meet Niall Hannity, Brian Ellison, Mick Fitzgerald, Brian Hughes and Sean Quinlan for an informative evening of racing tips and stories. Tuck into a hot and cold buffet and sit down in the Rockliffe Suite for a Q&A session with these racing experts. 

The racing commentator - Niall Hannity
Niall first made an appearance on Racing UK channel in June 2010 as a pundit and quickly moved on to presenting the show. A successful former racing jockey Niall has ridden almost 100 winners’ including successes at both Cheltenham and Aintree. 

The racehorse trainer - Brian Ellison
Since taking out a training license in 1989 with just five horses Brian Ellison is now one of the leading flat and national hunt racehorse trainers in the UK, and is based in Malton, North Yorkshire. 

The Racing Presenter - Mick Fitzgerald 
Mick is a retired Irish National Hunt jockey and current television racing presenter, he rode for the majority of his 15 year career in Great Britain and less often Ireland. Mick Fitzgerald is now a popular face presenting and analysing both flat and National hunt races. Despite being unable to ride since his second spinal injury, he is still closely involved in racing.

The jockeys - Brian Hughes and Sean Quinlan 
Brian Hughes is regarded as one of the best Northern jockeys in the country, after enjoying a great season in both 2017 and 2018 and Sean Quinlan is a National Hunt jockey. 

The panel will offer their insights on the upcoming Cheltenham Festival and answer questions from the audience. This event is being held in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund.
