Experience a taste of award-winning York restaurant Le Cochon Aveugle by Josh and Victoria Overington

Monday 3rd February, from 7pm

Yorkshire Life Chef of the Year 2019, Josh Overington, and his wife, Victoria, will be bringing a taste of their award-winning York restaurant Le Cochon Aveugle to Rockliffe Hall. 

Josh Overington trained in Paris working in several prestigious restaurants across Europe, before returning home to Yorkshire, aged 26 years old, to open his restaurant and bistro/wine bar, Le Cochon Aveugle and Cave du Cochon. Le Cochon Aveugle is a small stripped back restaurant in the heart of York, serving a frequently changing blind tasting menu from his open-plan kitchen.

Le Cochon Aveugle has recently been recognised in the UK Top 100 Restaurants Lists by both the National Restaurant Awards and Hardens Guide, and Josh has been awarded Chef of the Year 2019 by the Yorkshire Life Food and Drink Awards.

Josh’s wife, Victoria, is a trained sommelier and personally selects the wines for the cellars at both Le Cochon Aveugle and Cave du Cochon. The list of over 200 wines primarily focuses on small lesser-known grower-producers of fine wines from around the world.

Guests will enjoy a blind tasting menu in the Brasserie, with wines expertly paired. The menu will be revealed to guests on the evening.

During the event, money will be raised for the Great North Air Ambulance Service and Hospitality Action.

Please note full pre-payment is required at the time of booking. We will endeavour to accommodate all dietary requirements, however please be aware that in some instances this might mean your dishes are created by The Brasserie executive chef Aaron Craig. Please notify us of any food allergies on booking. The menu will be revealed to guests on the evening. Accommodation prices are based on two adults sharing a double or twin Tiplady Lodge bedroom. Maximum table size of 8 guests for this special event.
