Ladies Night: The Fashion of Food with Frances Atkins and Ellie Richmond

Back to Events

Enjoy a journey through culinary history, and the changing fashions of food with guest chefs Frances Atkins and Ellie Richmond

Wednesday 5th February, from 7pm

Join one of Britain’s first female chefs to win a Michelin star, Frances Atkins (Yorke Arms) along with previous protégé and now successful chef-patron, Ellie Richmond (Fox Hall Inn) for a very special evening.

Ellie and Frances have developed an eight-course tasting menu which will take diners on a journey through culinary history, and the changing fashions of food. This evening will raise funds for Action Against Hunger.

Frances Atkins is known as one of the most innovative chefs in the UK and when she won a Michelin star at the Yorke Arms in The Yorkshire dales, in 2003, she was the first female British chef to do so.

Ellie Richmond has worked at many well-known establishments including The Yorke Arms, under Frances Atkins. She worked at The Fox Hole in Piercebridge as Proprietor and Head Chef but recently sold the restaurant after enjoying huge success and has taken on a new challenge, The Fox Hall, on the A66 near Ravensworth.

The menu will be revealed on the evening.
