Power of Plants: Vegan Night

This special evening celebrates the rise in popularity of sustainable dining and plant-based cuisine...

Friday 7th February, from 7pm 

Member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain, Aaron Craig, and chef/food author Franck Pontais have designed a sensational tasting menu that showcases produce from the estate kitchen gardens, along with fresh and flavoursome micro-vegetables and edible flowers.

The menu will be 100% vegan, and vegan wine pairing will also be available. 

Franck Pontais has worked at Harrods, overseeing the expansion of their delicatessen counters, and then moved to Selfridges to launch theirs. He has written and produced his own cookery book “Terrines and Verrines”. Franck joined Koppert Cress 6 years ago as Culinary Business Development Manager. Koppert Cress specialise in cresses; seedlings of unique plants, which each have their own specific effect on the senses. The products are mainly used by chefs, restaurants, caterers, hotels and food services – receiving a reliable supply of fresh and tasteful ingredients allow chefs to be creative and surprise their guests.  

Aaron Craig is Executive Chef at The Brasserie at Rockliffe Hall and one of the North East and Yorkshire’s most highly regarded chefs having worked all over the UK and Europe at a range of prominent places including Heston Blumenthal’s three Michelin-starred restaurant the Fat Duck which was voted 2nd best restaurant in the world.
