At the centre of the building is an historic Rockliffe Hall, previously a mansion house owned by the Backhouse family. Built in 1863 the 10-bedroomed house is being restored to its former glory with many of the original features.

Stop to take in the original entrance hall and you will be reminded of the fine architecture of the period with carved stone pillars and oak balustrades meeting the uniquely ornate ceilings.
But there will be nothing austere about the Hall, think of a warmest welcome to a luxurious house and this is what you will find as you enter the Old Hall. Walk through the reception rooms and into the gardens overlooking the golf course, and then onto the magnificent Orangery fine dining rooms where the best of modern British food will be enjoyed.
As you make your way past the restored stained glass windows and oak staircases you will find yourself entering one of the beautifully appointed bedrooms, each one with a truly individual style and ambience.
