Rockliffe Hall named 'Best Golf Resort' in Europe
The Golfers’ Choice 2016 rankings have been announced in a joint initiative between Booking.com and LeadingCourses.com
We're delighted to announce we have been awarded a rating of 9.3 out of 10, beating top resorts including Terre Blanche in France, Finca Cortesin in Spain and Celtic Manor in Wales.
The rankings were calculated from 50% of the rating on Booking.com concerning the hotel resort itself, and the other 50% was taken for the ranking of the golf club and its facilities, according to LeadingCourses.com.
Eamonn Elliott, Chief Executive, says: “This is a fabulous achievement for the Rockliffe Hall resort. We strive to be the best and to be named the Best Golf Resort in Europe is amazing, considering Rockliffe Hall has only been open for just over 6 years, and we’re competing with well established golf clubs and resorts that have been around for many, many years.”
Designed by Hawtree, the world-renowned course architects, Rockliffe Hall’s 18 hole championship golf course is renowned for being one of the most challenging, and longest, in Europe. Alongside the exceptional course is a fully stocked Pro Shop, extensive practice facilities and driving range, a luxurious yet relaxed clubhouse serving delicious food, and a top quality golf services team, including 4 PGA professionals.
The Rockliffe Hall resort also boasts 61 sumptuous guestrooms and suites, three superb restaurants and an award-winning spa. Rockliffe recently invested £1 million in a new Spa Garden to enhance the spa experience and has plans for further investment to enhance its services in 2016.
