We would like you to make the most of your spa experience. Please read through the following information for helpful advice and tips on getting the best out of your time with us including our new barefoot spa days.

Spa & Gym Opening Hours

Monday-Sunday 7am-10pm. Please note these hours may change during Public Holidays.

Children's Pool Times

Children may use the main pool from 8am until 10am and 4pm until 6pm.

What To Bring To The Spa?

Bring a swimming costume or even two if you would like a dry one to change into. We have plenty of towels and will provide a robe for every spa day and recommend keeping your robe dry if you planning to dine in it.

If you are staying in the hotel, you may like to arrive at the Spa in your robe all ready to spa.

Many guests bring along a good book to lose themselves in. We also have an excellent gym and studio programme if you wish to bring along your gym wear and trainers.

What are Barefoot Spa Days?

From Monday 15th May, we will no longer be giving slippers to our guests who are with us on a spa day, however guests can bring their own suitable footwear or join us in barefoot luxury!

Why are you no longer providing us with slippers on our spa day?

We are currently throwing away around 2,000 slippers per month. When reviewing our approach to sustainability as a business, we recognised that this is avoidable. Our long-term strategy is to become a more sustainable spa and this is a first step on that journey.

What footwear should I wear/bring to the spa?

Opt for footwear which is comfortable yet practical. Slippers and flip-flops are popular choices. These must be rubber-soled, clean and not have been worn outside.

NB: If you plan to use the gym you will need to bring appropriate trainers (with clean soles).

What happens if I forget to bring footwear with me?

Don’t worry, if you forget to bring footwear, we are a barefoot spa so no shoes at all on poolside is perfectly fine. If you forget and are not happy to be barefoot on poolside, we will have a small supply of slippers available at reception.

If you plan to dine in Nu Sana while you are with us you will need to wear footwear. You can wear either indoor or outdoor shoes for dining.

What are Rockliffe doing about hygiene on poolside if you are asking people to bring their own shoes?

We take the cleanliness of our poolside very seriously and want all our guests to enjoy a clean, safe, and sustainable spa. This is why we have rules about the type of footwear that is suitable to wear. Any guest who is wearing inappropriate footwear will be asked to change or remove it.

What about hotel guests, will they still be provided with slippers?

At present it is only spa days we will no longer provide slippers for, however the next step in our sustainability journey will be to look at more sustainable slipper options throughout the hotel.

Our ethos is relaxation and calm. Please do not allow use of your phone or other device to negatively impact on the relaxation of other spa users. It is nice to have a bit of a catch up with friends, but we do ask that the heat treatment rooms, treatment corridor and relaxation lounge are treated as ‘whisper zones’ where we may politely ask you to keep your voice to a whisper.
