Rockliffe Hall has won two top accolades at the 59club Service Excellence Awards which were hosted by the BBC’s Dan Walker at The Belfry on Thursday 3rd March 2022.
The annual awards, celebrating their twelfth anniversary this year, recognise some of the highest-profile and best-loved venues across Europe, honouring individuals, teams and the venues themselves.
Rockliffe Hall scooped the brand-new ‘Leading Spa Experience’ award and was also awarded the 59club's coveted ‘Gold Flag’ award for the Championship golf course for the sixth year running.
The winners are determined by scores collected from an independent visitor panel who evaluate the experience afforded to visiting golfers and prospective members in accordance with 59club’s non-subjective benchmarking criteria. Each venue is judged on performance in the following areas – sales, service, operations, retail, golf course, food & beverage and management.
Ashley Freeman, Spa Manager at Rockliffe Hall, said: “This is the first year the 59club have expanded their venue awards to include the Spa experience and to be recognised with this award is a testament to the hard work of every single member of the Rockliffe Hall spa team including reservations, reception, poolside, gym team, retail and, of course, our therapists. As the awards are based on mystery guest visits, we know that we are exceeding our guest expectations and I’m incredibly proud of everyone for their hard work.”
Callum Nicoll, Director of Golf and Estates at Rockliffe Hall, says: “This is now the ninth year in a row that Rockliffe Hall has won a 59club flag status, and the sixth consecutive time we’ve achieved gold. I’m incredibly proud of everyone that their continued hard work has been recognised with this award.”
Designed by Hawtree, the world-renowned course architects, Rockliffe Hall’s 18-hole championship golf course is renowned for being one of the most challenging, and longest, in Europe. Alongside the world class course is a fully stocked Pro Shop, extensive practice facilities and driving range, a luxurious yet relaxed clubhouse serving delicious food, and a dedicated golf services team.
