Spa Shortlisted For Two Top Awards & Sunday Times Top 100 Hotels

We have been selected by the Sunday Times for its prestigious list of the Ultimate 100 Hotels in the country, while the Rockliffe Hall Spa has been shortlisted in two main categories in the Good Spa Guide Awards.

The hotel features in the Ultimate British Hotels Spa category in the Sunday Times’ elite list of the very best venues in the UK – describing the spa as “constantly innovating” while saying the new £1 million Spa Garden Room is an “inner sanctum of serenity”.

Meanwhile, in the Good Spa Guide Awards, Rockliffe has been nominated for Best Spa for Sheer Luxury (which we won last year) and is also up for the Best Spa in the North Award. We are facing tough competition from some of the UK’s best-known spas, so please help us win by voting here.

The Good Spa Guide is considered the expert guide to the best spas and treatments in the industry and uses experienced ‘spa spies’ to seek out and intensively review the very best in the UK.

Commenting on the Sunday Times Ultimate 100 Hotels honour, Chief Executive, Eamonn Elliott, said: “We’re delighted to be featured in this elite list of hotels. There are of course tens of thousands of hotels in the UK and we constantly strive to be among the best. The Sunday Times’ list is one of ‘the’ lists all luxury hotels are clamouring to be featured in so this is a huge achievement for everyone here at Rockliffe.”

Victoria Lees, Spa Manager at Rockliffe Hall, said: “Only the best spas in the country are selected for The Good Spa Guide Awards so we’re thrilled to be shortlisted again. Winning the Best Spa for Sheer Luxury Award last year was fantastic and a credit to the entire Spa team, to win it again this year would be incredible. We believe we’re the best spa in the north too, so to win that award as well, in such a wonderful, competitive region, would be the icing on the cake.”
