To celebrate World Meditation Day, we know just the way to unwind after a busy week. Experience Rockliffe Hall’s Mind Therapy Room…

Did you know the Spa at Rockliffe Hall boasts a revolutionary offering that makes it possible for even the busiest minds to achieve deep levels of relaxation in just thirty minutes?

We like to encourage our guests to take some well-earned time out from their busy lives and our Mind Therapy Room offers a fast-track way to relaxation and mindfulness.

Featuring the only Spa.Wave bed in the UK, our Mind Therapy Room offers what we can only describe as ‘Rockliffe Hall’s version of a power nap’.

The benefits can include increased creativity, power napping and deep relaxation, reduction of stress and mood swings and removal of mental blockages.

It also helps support treatment of anxiety and panic attacks, supports the immune system, increases the ability to concentrate, improves sleep quality and quantity, lowers blood pressure, eases muscle tension and helps reduce signs of depression and chronic pain.

What’s more - the system has been scientifically tested and researched by the U.S. Army, the Miami VA as well as various behavioural health, addiction treatment and acute care facilities.

“The Spa.Wave bed in our Mind Therapy Room is an exciting addition to what we offer in Rockliffe Hall’s Spa. Our lives are becoming busier and more stressful and this bed is a fabulous way of taking some time out, even if it’s only thirty minutes, to relax and recharge. The bed boasts so many benefits and people who’ve tried it so far have said they feel calmer and sleep better.”

Katie Towersey, Spa Director at Rockliffe Hall

How does it work?

Using a carefully composed blend of Chromatherapy, computer-controlled acoustic and vibrational therapy, this special bed trains the brain to relax and benefit from deep relaxation techniques. Similar to meditation, specific sounds slow down mental activity and vibrational frequencies to move brainwaves from alpha through to delta, the ‘sleep’ waves where healing can take place. It combines the gentle sound waves of special music with a highly efficient vibration massage system integrated into the bed. The Chroma therapy feature oscillates between all of the colours of the spectrum allowing their associated healing benefits.
