Forget everything you know about a Rockliffe summer.

This year, we’re all about turning up the heat with vibrant food, unexpected experiences and writing your own rules.

Summer is always a favourite of ours.

We love to laze by the infinity pool with our noses in a good book. We love long walks by the winding River Tees. We love a round of golf in the sun. We love enjoying a crisp glass of wine on The Clubhouse terrace.

But this year, we wanted more. More fun, more colour, more indulgence, more memories - a summer that is anything but ordinary.

And so, Summer 2025 at Rockliffe Hall was born – bolder and brighter than ever before.

Explore the best of the season below and choose the perfect time to make your summer visit.

A Summer of Flavour

June tastes like juicy burgers paired with a glass of Champagne or an ice-cold martini. Followed by the creamiest New York Cheesecake.

In Café TERRA, we'll be serving our usual lunchtimes favourites accompanied by sweet summer pastries.

Down in the Clubhouse, enjoy the British home comforts that we just can’t live without – even in the height of summer. Celebrate a sun-soaked evening with a Fruits de Mer, a show-stopping tower designed to be shared along with a bottle of Champagne.

In July, we turn up the heat with punchy Mexican tacos and salty-sweet Margaritas, served in The Bar.

Launching on 11th July, Culinary Director James Close invites you to experience ‘El Camino’. A unique tasting menu inspired by the vibrancy of Peru, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina.

Plan your visit:

  • Burger & Champagne – Available Fridays and Saturdays in June
  • Café TERRA - Available 7 days a week
  • The Clubhouse – New menu arrives in early June
  • Tacos & Tequila – Available in The Bar from 11th July
  • James Close’s El Camino – Bookings now open  | Launching 11th July

The Summer of Frivolity

A jam-packed itinerary is just as much a luxury as a delightfully empty one.

Start strong with a session on the padel court so you can finally get the answer as to why everyone in the UK is suddenly playing padel.

Or take things slower with a bike ride around the estate or a friendly match of lawn games.

Sports aren’t your thing?

Not to worry! How does an afternoon lounging in the Spa Garden with a cocktail in hand sound?

Don’t forget to head to the big screen on the lawn for classic films, festival highlights and major sporting moments. Best enjoyed with popcorn and a cocktail from our Martini Happy Hour.

Plan your visit:

  • Padel Court – Available from early June
  • Bikes – Available from Concierge
  • Lawn Games – Available throughout summer
  • Spa Garden – Available to book now
  • Big Screen on the Lawn – Available from 25th June until 8th August

The Summer of Family Fun

Make the most of the long summer holidays with an escape that has a little something for each family member.

Fuel bike rides and lawn games with ice cream before before settling down for a film and popcorn on the lawn when energy dips.

When the sun begins to set, head to The Clubhouse where you’ll find family-friendly menus designed to please all palates — with crowd-pleasers for kids and elevated favourites for adults.

Plan your visit:

  • Bikes – Available from Concierge
  • Ice Cream – Available throughout summer
  • Lawn Games – Available throughout summer
  • Cinema Screen – Available from 25th June until 8th August
  • The Clubhouse - New menu arrives early June
  • Family-Friendly Activities - Available throughout summer
Your summer, your rules.
Create the summer memories you've been dreaming of.
