As International Women’s Day 2022 approaches we are celebrating the amazing achievements of some of the fantastic women who make Rockliffe Hall what it is.

We are proud to have so many amazing women in our business. From our commercial director to the spa manager, let’s get to know some of the women who make Rockliffe rock!

#BreakTheBias

Teresa Kingston - Commercial Director - 2 Years Service

"In my role as Commercial Director I manage a commercial team of 14, the team consists of Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Events and Reservations. As a team, we are responsible for setting rate and marketing strategies and driving revenues across all areas of resort, alongside this we are also responsible for the hotels PR locally and nationally."

Claire Kelly - Revenue Manager - 1 Year, 7 Months Service

"As Revenue Manager, I am responsible for the pricing, selling strategies and predictions of revenue, along with trends of bedrooms, self-catering facilities & events across the resort. I then also oversee the day-to-day running of the Reservations & Events office and team members."

Ashley Freeman - Spa Manager - 12 Years, 4 Months Service

"My newly promoted role as Spa Manager is to drive the Spa vision by focusing on the overall Spa experience, our Spa operations and also the Spa team in order to provide exceptional guest service."

Ruth Parkin - Head Waitress, The Orangery, 10 Months Service

"As Head Waitress of The Orangery I oversee the team and daily runnings of guest service. I work on table plans, the team rota and I'm also particularly passionate about customer service, meeting and greeting guests and really getting to know them."

Katie Scott - Marketing and Communications Manager - 13 Years Service

"I joined the Rockliffe Hall family before the resort first opened its doors in 2009 and have been involved in developing, promoting and championing the brand ever since! I head up the marketing team, and together we curate and create exciting and inspiring content to engage with our guests new and old alike through our various marketing channels and platforms. Most recently I’ve been involved with the development of Rockliffe Hall’s new website, which is phase one of a complete digitalisation of our booking systems, which will eventually allow guests to book every element of their stay, spa day or golf experience in real time on our website, but my role is incredibly varied and covers all aspects of the resort from golf to spa and everything in between! I love working at Rockliffe Hall as no two days are ever the same and I get to work alongside some of the very best ‘hospitality greats’ in the industry, but also see new stars of the future start and develop their careers."

Valeria Rivera - Front of House Manager - 10 Months Service

"My role at Rockliffe Hall is to oversee the Front of House daily operation. Ensuring that from the minute our guests walk through our doors, they feel at home and create lasting memories for each one of them. I also focus on the development path that our team has within Rockliffe Hall and how can we curate their skills to succeed in their role within the resort."

Amanda Bantock - HR Manager - 2 Years, 5 Months Service

"The role of human resources at Rockliffe Hall is to support team members across the business at every point of the employee lifecycle. We provide help, support and guidance to which in turn promotes productivity and a good working culture and ethos across the business. HR supports with recruitment, legislation changes, compensation and benefits, along with health and safety, training and development, policy updates and support and guidance for a variety of topics."

Yelba Perez Saballos - Sommelier - 1 Years Service

"I'm a wine lover and I always try to transmit that in each tasting, pairing or training experience here at Rockliffe Hall. I'm lucky to be able to work in what I love and share my passion for wines, their origin and of course the culture of each one. Each wine pairing experience is different and I love to share my knowledge with guests. I believe there is a wine suited to every different moment and a custom wine for each person."

Sarah Usher - Treatment Manager - 11 Years Service

"My role within Rockliffe Hall is to build a strong team of Spa therapists, this includes the training and development of the team to ensure five star treatments are provided to guests."

Uzma Jannath - Commis Pastry Chef - 6 Months Service

"When I started my role at Rockliffe Hall I was creating fine dining pastry desserts for The Orangery kitchen. I now look after the desserts presented on the Afternoon Tea's, of which we have just launched our Mother's Day offering. I love playing with flavours and creating beautiful yet tasty treats."
