Congratulations to Gillian Green, Housekeeping Supervisor, for being crowned Rock Star of the Year for 2021!
A true Rockliffe Rock Star, Gillian is one of our Housekeeping Supervisors, training new housekeeping team members and ensuring the hotel remains spotlessly clean for guests.
Gillian was crowned as Rock Star of the Year based on the number of votes she accumulated from her colleagues throughout the year.
She worked throughout lockdowns and was nominated for her cheery attitude, helpfulness and for her exceptional standards.
There was a period of time during August when a high number of the housekeeping team had to self-isolate, during one of the busiest months of the summer! Gillian stepped up to the plate and worked extra days and longer hours to ensure bedrooms were turned around to the highest of standards.

“Gillian always goes the extra mile and she works extremely hard, she’s an absolute trooper!”
“Gillian did a fantastic job running the Housekeeping department, pretty much on her own, during the summer when other members had to self-isolate. She is an exceptional team member and is always willing to help.”
“She has risen to all the challenges that housekeeping has faced during the pandemic and never wavered, she is always smiling and incredibly hard working.”
Team members who voted for Gillian also commented on how friendly and supportive she is of new team members, how she always remains calm under pressure and how her impeccable standards inspire the team.
In a similar format to our Rock Star of the Month awards, all votes for Rock Star of the Year have been made by the team themselves.
