Amy, 26, who lives in Hurworth, scooped the Young Marketer of the Year title at the Hotel Marketing Association’s awards ceremony in London on Monday 18th March.
First Class BA Honours Graduate, Amy, joined Rockliffe Hall in the summer of 2015 as Marketing Co-ordinator and just 2 years later was promoted to Marketing Executive.
Amy, who studied Business Management at Teesside University, is responsible for a wide range of marketing activities at Rockliffe Hall. She excels at social media and design, and puts her love for photography and film-making to good use at the five star resort in Hurworth, where her images and videos promoting the hotel are regularly featured on marketing literature, in magazines and online.
Amy says: “I’m delighted to have won this award. I feel like it’s all a bit of a dream – we rushed down to London for the awards at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and just a few hours later we were traveling back to Darlington carrying the award.”
As part of her prize, Amy will spend a day at the LAW Creative marketing agency in Hertfordshire, shadowing their creative, digital and content teams. During her visit she’ll be presented with a new iPhone X on which to develop her social media and marketing content skills. Amy will also receive six coaching sessions from Andrea McKay, an Executive Coach at Coaching Confidential.
Katie Scott, Sales and Marketing Manager at Rockliffe Hall, says: “I’m so proud of Amy for winning this top marketing award. She’s an integral part of the marketing team and this accolade proves what I already knew – that she’s an exceptional marketer and is now officially the best young marketer in the hotel industry.”
